Poems/Lyrics

Although my poetry is not extensive, it has survived multiple purges. Like any other artist, a majority of work is and goes in the trash. I hope to be writing more but don’t be surprised if the next time you read it, it’s different. Words evolve. For example, I was involved in a car accident after I wrote the song “The Disciples of the Dark”. Originally, the chorus stated, “If you know, please don’t tell me”. Before I recorded it, I changed it to “if you know please tell me”. The drummer said “You can’t do that, you’ll change the meaning of the whole song” and I replied, “well, I wrote the song and I feel this should be the meaning”. Sometimes words just tell you to follow. Thanks for reading.
