The tubing head adapter, located above the tubing head, provides a transition to the Christmas Tree. That is, it creates a lower connection for the wellhead tubing head and an upper connection for the Christmas tree.
The bottom of the tubing head adapter seals against the tubing head and contain reservoir or injection fluids moving through the top of the tubing.
Tubing Head Adapter equipment adapts the uppermost connection of a tubing head to the lowermost valve (lower master vale) of the Christmas Tree.
Tubing head adapter, by its coupling, provide a means to suspend the tubing. The coupling accepts a back pressure valve (BPV).
