How our application process works
Quick tips
We don’t always require a CV or resume to apply for a job. If you do have one or need to write one, here are some easy best practices to follow: Always check that your contact details are correct. Write your experience very briefly, then check it and read it over a few times to make sure it makes sense. Don’t be afraid to use strong action words to describe what you did within each job. Tailor your resume or CV to the job you are applying for so that your application stands out.
Some jobs you apply for might require you to answer some short questions online, and others might have longer online assessments for you to complete. Below is a summary of our best advice to read through before you begin any questionnaire or assessment:
Make sure you have a strong and active internet or phone connection before you start; you wouldn’t want to lose your work.
Try and find a quiet environment to take the test.
Before beginning, take a few deep breaths to stay alert and focused during the assessment.
Be confident! You got this far, and you’ll go farther.
When you’ve made it through the initial screening process, you might be invited to do an interview in person or online. Below are some tips to help you prepare:
- Do your research: Before an interview, research the company and learn as much as you can about the position you are applying for. Remember that Adecco is here to help, so always feel free to ask us questions.
- Prepare answers: Think of examples and stories that demonstrate the skills and experience you want to highlight from your resume or CV.
- Dress appropriately: Wear professional attire and make sure to groom yourself.
- Be confident: Exhibit confidence, body language, and eye contact.
- Ask questions: Have questions prepared to ask the interviewer about the position and the company.
- Follow up: Send a thank-you note or email expressing your interest in the position and thanking the interviewer for their time.
