Good stay with a few things to consider

We were a group of 4 families (14 people) staying at the cabin, and overall enjoyed our stay- but wanted to give a heads up about a few things:While the ad offers room for up to 18 guests, 2 of the 14 people had to sleep on the floor as there weren’t enough beds for 14 (let alone 18). There is a futon in one of the game rooms- but as noted, they are really garages, and never heated up enough in February to be able to sleep in. The photos should really include that there is a full kitchen in an upstairs bedroom with a refrigerator that is quite loud. We were bummed out that the dishwasher was upstairs. We did them by hand downstairs rather than shutting them up. The property is lovely (though very close to the Thruway) and the kids had a blast playing in the snow. The owners plowed for us, delivered a pool que ball so we could play, and were very responsive. We also appreciated being able to bring the pups. Overall fun times!

Not so great stay

Our experience with this property is below average for the below mentioned reasons that were never disclosed on the listing. So I want to help others to be cautious before booking this place. The property is close to a highway and it is noisy when sitting outside. The deck you see in the pictures is actually the front of the house, the house doesn’t have any backyard space/deck. However, it has a big front yard. It was mentioned in the listing that there is a dishwasher which you would assume is in the kitchen, but it is actually on the second floor where there is a bedroom/kitchen space. This made using the appliance rather impractical when the main kitchen and dining area are on the lower level. So we ended up washing the dishes by hand during our stay.

The game room is actually setup in the two car garage space with the garage doors permanently opened, but covered the entry with a mesh to prevent mosquitoes and bugs getting in. This makes the pool table and other gaming equipment exposed to outside temperature and moisture. They are not in good playable condition. Lastly, there was a big storm during our stay which knocked out the power and cut-off the water supply. We realized then the property was using well water and you will not have water supply without power. We had small kids in our group, and with no power and water for several hours and it was getting dark, we cutdown our stay and decided to leave that evening.

Great Golf Getaway

Had an absolute blast with friends at this lovely “modern cabin”. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably with a the necessary amenities needed to get by. Awesome fire pit and river access. We visit Cronin’s Golf Resort and it was amazing. The place was Caddy Shack meets Cheers. I highly recommend this awesome place for a weekend getaway!

Awesome location!

Large house was accommodating for my group of (8) adults. Communication was great with host. The property is stunning on the water with a huge yard to play games and run around in. Our friends caught bass from the river it was close to Lake George village and other activities in the area but also very secluded and private. Highly recommend!
