1. Find a flight school that has the aircraft you want to fly. Many people start out in a Cessna, but now the Cirrus SR22T has become a very popular choice as it is very high tech, incorporating the latest Garmin Perspective avionics suite. This provides all digital displays and digital autopilot that work seamlessly together. Also, there is literally a parachute that is attached to the AIRFRAME that can be used to safely float the aircraft to the ground if needed. Fantastic combinations.<\/p>\n

2. During you flight training you will need to take a \u201cknowledge exam\u201d at FAA approved testing facilities. Using one of many courses available on-line or in print form, plus personalized grounds instruction gives you a 90% chance of passing on the first try.<\/p>\n

3. Prior to your first solo flight, you will need a simple FAA 3rd class physical exam that is available from designated physicians, called AMEs (Airman Medical Examiners) in the Valley or elsewhere, which is good for at least two years. I can help you fill in the form and pick the perfect AME that is right for you.<\/p>\n

4. Then after completing the required flight training, a Designated Pilot Examiner with give you a \u201ccheck ride\u201d and upon successful completion, issue you a PPL right on the spot and you are the newest Private Pilot in the country. Congratulations!!!<\/p>\n
