IPCs and FLIGHT REVIEWS

The Federal Aviation Administration not only requires that Instrument rated pilot maintain proficiency to fly in instrument condition, but also mandates that all pilots must have a review by a CFII or other designee every 24 months.
AT MOUSE OVER NEED DIFFERENT PICTURE THAN THE CIRRUS LETS
With all the good weather we have in Arizona, it is not uncommon to fall behind in the number of instrument procedures you need. With the help of a CFII you can reset the clock and be good to file IRF flight plans the same day.
If you’re coming up on 24 months since your last proficiency check, I can accomplish this in just a few hours and it’s provides an excellent opportunity to review maneuvers you don’t do very often, like steep turns, slow flight and everyone’s favorite stalls. Remember this is just training like all your other lessons. There is no pass or fail .
This can be done in your own plane or one of ours.
I would like to add that many pilots try to fly with an instructor about every 6 months and pick a day that is less than ideal so you can experience “bad” weather with someone who has the experience.
